Since 2015, Taber Innovations Group LLC (TIG), a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), has been at the industry forefront of researching and developing the next generation of firefighting and first responder accountability hardware, Over-Watch Locator™ (OWL™), stemming from its internationally patented Location-Enhanced Accountability of Personnel™ (LEAP™) technology stack. Through a multi-generation iterative electrical and mechanical product design process, TIG has produced a wearable ruggedized, non-obstructive, in-line individual geolocating unit that utilizes the latest in motion, positioning, and communication technologies capable of providing real-time telemetry data to incident commanders. This data allows the incident command structure, both on-scene and remote, to both rapidly and accurately track the state, status, and location of personnel and equipment during an incident response in outdoor settings as well as multi-story interior structures. OWL™ was designed to be operated as a standalone system with minimal to no impact on nationally accepted and adopted firefighting Standard Operating Procedures.
